The International Deer Festival in Mazamitla represents a unique artistic manifestation that seeks to exalt the beauty of this charming Magical Town of Jalisco. Here you will find all the information necessary to fully enjoy this celebration of the arts, which unfolds in the picturesque cobblestone streets at the foot of the Sierra del Tigre.

This building, commissioned by the parish priest José Santana García in the middle of the last century, stands out for its eclectic architecture with oriental influences and a predominance of white. Its façade has two sections: an entrance with a semicircular arch, a choir window and a rectangular front with a clock. The two three-level rectangular towers are crowned by conical domes. The sober interior is divided into three naves with columns and vibrant stained glass windows.

The festival, dedicated to the wild poppy, takes place over three weekends in October. It offers a variety of colourful floral arrangements for sale and decorates the streets, creating a dazzling and photo-perfect panorama.
